This chestnut-coloured beer is brewed using pale ale and crystal malt, which gives it a full-bodied flavour. A finely balanced hop character is enriched by the late addition of Styrian Goldings to give a prominent floral hop aroma and fuller flavour.

Hand-pulled cask pint in The Cock Hotel on 15th June 2018. Deep amber body, off-white blanket of foam on top. Nose and taste have a semi-sweet caramel front, light bitterness towards the finish. Much preferred the original Mitchells of Lancaster version from the 1990's.

0.5l bottle. Clear amber body with a white head. Aroma and taste of caramel, toast, honey, apple cider and spicy hops. Medium bodied with less than average carbonation. Good bitter.

clear darker amber colour, moderate sized dense off-white head; moderately intensive aroma with some toasted, nutty and maybe floral notes; taste has the same notes with some fruits like apple and minimal toffee; ok bitter

0,33 bottle.

Its color is reddish brown, very slightly carbonated, its head is still beautiful when filling, creamy, not durable. Aroma is correct: malt, a little caramel, the taste is a little disembodied. Sweet, poorly hoped, but the barley, malt feels, which is not bad either. Overall, I heard bad things about him. A light red malty ale beer. In Ireland, freshly tapped after work is certainly a better experience, but not a bad one either. *** When tasted again, it was also very low in Co, the head was very nice, but eventually disappeared. It also tasted a little metallic, but a good drinking beer, just disembodied.

Half pint (cask) at the Highlands. Dark amber capped with a creamy head. Malty aroma. Taste too is squarely on the malts, cask makes this exceptionally smooth, bready. Sublime. At first I didn't think much, but later came under its charismatic spell. Quite nice.

Bottle from Vrutak shared with Jolly Rogers at a rehearsal. Clear amber, minimal head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity, toasty malts and red fruits. Dry, balanced but very faint. Light body, creamy texture, soft to moderate carbonation, lightly malty finish. Started promising, ended as an average bitter.
