Thick chocolate brown head. Chocolate, milk coffee, vanilla. A bit boozy, thin in the back. Lingering alcohol and chocolate. Not bad.

Magus, mõru, šokolaad, röst, suhkur, vanilje, kakao, alks, kas ma šokolaadi juba mainisin?! Lõpp teeb seest soojaks alksiga... Aga üldiselt libestit pole vaja, libiseb täitsa buenolt.

Tap @ CBC 2015. Pours pitch black with a medium dark brown head. Aromas of cinnamon, dark chocolate, melted butter, vanilla, roast, molasses. Taste is very cinnamon-forward, melted butter, dark chocolate, vanilla, light roast, savory notes, light heat, oak. Very smooth!

Tap @ 1st Anniversary Kaapse Brouwers Festival. Almost black. Bounty bar aroma, cocos and dark chocolate. Bounty bar flavor, cocos, roast, dark chocolate. Very sweet but still quite complex, bourbon and vanilla are noticeable. Excellent beer.

Can. Black color with beige head. Aroma is thick authentic hazelnut, cinnamon stick, caramel and vanilla from the barrel, dark chocolate. Taste is cinnamon, natural hazelnuts again, salty, a touch of tartness in the back, very drinkable. Thick, but not too thick, mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Very nice, though maybe a touch too tart.

Can, thanks Fin! Black, dark golden cream. Huge salty, chocolate, nut, peanut, fat nose. Medium body, a bit sour and dry, peanut brittle, salt, good praline, tart finish on the palate, really great desert aromatic retronasal.

16 ounce crowler into snifter, filled on 5/15/2019. Pours opaque pitch black color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Slight booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, and dark bread/crust; with lighter notes of licorice, molasses, raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, smoke, char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness. Mild herbal, grassy, roast, char bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, cream, cinnamon, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, biscuit, dark bread/crust, licorice, molasses, dark fruit, light smoke/char, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toast/oaky earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; with a fantastic roast/hop bitter/sweet, and bourbon/oak/cinnamon spiciness balance; with zero cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness, and bourbon/oak spiciness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/velvety/bready, and lightly slick/sticky/chalky/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol or barrel booze lingering after the finish for 10.5%. Overall this is an incredible barrel aged flavored imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malts, cocoa, vanilla, cinnamon, bourbon barrels, and light-moderate fruity yeast/earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the huge ABV; with the mellowly bitter/charred/spicy/tannic/drying finish. Amazingly soft feel for the ABV. Amazing balance of super rich malts, vanilla/cocoa/cinnamon flavorings, and bourbon barrel presence/integration; with solid earthy hops, and restrained fruity yeast. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing dessert style example.

RBbacklog. Chocolate meringue pie, mokka, cinnamon. Moderate medium sweetness, a hint of sourness, bitterness of strong dark chocolate. Slick, soft carbonation. Super intense but well balanced, couldn't drink a can alone though.
