Pimped-Up Holiday Brew
Over the river and through the woods to this rich, complex Belgian-style holiday brew. Complex aromas and essence of sweet dark malt, raisins, figs, anise, dark candi sugar, and spicy phenols. This beer will sting the toes and bite the nose, but no worries, the horse knows the way.

On tap at Fat Head's Portland, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toffee notes and dried dark fruits. Flavour brings out sweet toffee, dark fruits and caramel. Sweeter than the Sorceror, and thus not quite as drinkable, but still good.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark brown color with a medium sized creamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweet molasses, cherry and raisin. The flavor was sweet and tangy with a strong raisin presence, molasses, cherry, a yeasty undertone and a boozy element that complimented rather than detracted. Long finish of raisin, booze, cherry and yest. Full bodied. Tasty.

Sample at the Columbus Winter Beerfest on 01/14/2012: The beer is an amber-red color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of yeast and dark fruits. Medium body with a richly spiced character and notes of fruit and yeast. The finish is malty with a sweetly spiced aftertaste. Above average overall.
