Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms JDW, Bristol 28/12/08. Dark brown with reddish undertones and a frothy tan head that left plenty of lacing down the glass. Aroma of caramel and roasted malts. Flavour had some milk chocolate, berry fruits with hints of earthy hops and a short bitter finish. Drinkable.

Bottle conditioned: deep chestnut-brown coloured, firm rocky tanned head; light roast-malty aroma with some fruity traces; light sweetish-bitter flavour; dry roasted-malty finish, accompanied by some oranges, some roasted bitterness in the aftertaste. A pleasant and very well drinkable Porter !

Cask. Black with an orange hue and a rough off-white head. Sweetish hard roasted malt in the nose with a little raisins. Medium-bodied, flat, hard roasted malt, a little tar and ashes again with some dried fruitiness. A little malt bitterness. Very decent. 140211
Bottle 50 cl Dark mahogany with a vague, reddish hue and a small, off-white head. Discreet aroma of roasted malt. Rather light-bodied with lightly sweet malt and accents of dried fruit. A bit thin yet quite delicate. 6/3/6/3/13= 3.1 160206

Tan, creamy head with larger bubbles, deep dark red body. Deep sweet aroma with notes of pepper and coffee and some alcohol. Lovely, sweet, firm taste of wild berries, coffee, and slight sourness. Slightly, oily mouthfeel. Fruity, dry, somewhat bitter, peppery aftertaste. Burnt flavours linger. Excellent, but could do with less of the sourness.

[Cask at Cockney Pub, Århus] A deep red beer with a dense orange head. The aroma is sweet with light berry notes, while the flavor is very sweet with notes of berries and nuts, leading to a slight burnt wood end. I wouldn’t categorize this as a porter - it is not dark nor roasted enough, but it’s still an OK beer.
