Just in time for Christmas! This stout has been brewed with cacao nibs, brown sugar, lactose and hazelnut giving it wonderfully rich chocolate and nutty flavours. The perfect winter warmer.

On keg at Six Degrees North, Edinburgh. Appearance - deep brown to black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - chocolate and hazelnuts. Taste - more hazelnuts and chocolate very luscious this time. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Decent taper on the finish. Overall - good beer.

Keg at the Star and Garter, Bromley. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aromas of dark roast coffee, caramel cake, dark chocolate, cocoa. Flavours of liquorice (dominant), lots more coffee, dark chocolate. Very tasty brew.

Can. Little Leeds Beer House. Nearly black. Noisy, tan head, that dissipates to a slim ring. Nose has toasted hazelnut. Cocoa. Some treacle. Some sugary espresso. Taste is rich, brown sugar sweet. A little dry, and a fair bit bitter. Medium body. A bit heady, oddly. A tad too fizzy for the style. Dry and long, earthy bitterness to finish.
