(Previous labeled Peach Lambic). We first began experimenting with Belgian-style ales in 2006, and fresh, whole peaches were selected as one of the first fruits to add to the sour beer that we had fermented for over eight months in white oak barrels. We use 7,000 pounds of fresh Indiana peaches from Huber’s Orchard and Winery in Starlight, Indiana, destoning the peach pits by hand before adding to the barrels. Peach is a fruited ale with gold and straw colors that shine upon pouring, and zesty amounts of carbonation. Fresh peach aromas meld with floral and wine-like notes. Wonderful peach flavors follow in the taste, accompanied by refreshing tartness with a dry finish and mouth-watering tanginess.

Bottle @ Brugmansia/Fonefan US Tasting, April 2010. Thanks a lot. Pours unclear gold with some small bubbles on top. Nose & taste is dry and has notes of vinegar, barnyard, funk and fruit. Flavor is not as complex as aroma. Low carbonation. Funky, sticky and very dry. A tasty Sour, perhaps not as complex as some Belgiums but it has a fantastic drinkability.

courtesy of tpd975 pours hazy golden straw, no head. Aroma is sour, peach-vinegary, light wood/oak, vinegar aspect remains subtle. Flavors, peach, plenty of acidic, lactobacillus yeast. Mostly light palate, and peach, palate was a tad too thin. Oak quasi absent, with mild tart finish and touch of grain.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Slightly hazy golden with a tiny off-white head. Light Brett aroma and a distinct fruitiness. Light body, a little watery, carbonation is almost flat, magnificent and fresh fruitiness - apricots and a little vanilla. The finish is vaguely tart. 290509

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of sweet malt and fruit and light notes of spices. The flavor is acidic with notes of malt and lighter notes of brettanomyces, fruit - especially peaches and oranges, leading to a dry finish. The body is a bit thin.

Blind tasting at Papsø’s
Cloudy deep blond color. Sour aroma, with lemon and tangerine, light malt, very light flowers too; interesting. It has a medium body, with light malt flavor, the sourness is not too strong, there is a fruity touch that reminds apples, along with the citrus fruits, and, mostly interesting, a delicate hazelnut touch. The final is delicate, lemony. Very good.
