From old tasting notes. Copper red color. Big fluffy beige head. Interesting, earthy toasted malt nose. Tangy malt flavor hints at curry and cardamom. Good flavor.

This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a moderately dark orange to ruddy brown color with a finger’s worth of messy foamy head. Dissipates at a nice level pace and leaves some stringy lace sliding right on into the beer.
The aroma leans to the sweet side with some roasty nuts, caramel and toffee malt goodness. Dosed with some earthy hops far underneath.
The flavor once again, leans to the sweet side and grabs the earthy hops to try and balance a bit more. Do they? Well, somewhat. I feel like I’m grasping at straws trying to find something more out of this beer. No aftertaste but a quick clean sweet malty finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation feels decent on my tongue.
Overall, decent as an English brown ale and I could see myself coming back to if given the chance but not exactly a superior one of it’s style.

Red Brick Brown. Pours deep clear amber with light tan head. The aroma is modest in strength giving up roasted malts, spicy rye like notes and dusty baker’s chocolate. The taste has a mild sense of creaminess to it bringing in notes of chocolate, dark roasted malts, a growing nutty sweetness and a faint sense of sweet fruity esters. It ends with a mix of chocolate, some dark malts and a mild level of lingering nuttiness. It seems to become a bit too sweet for my taste.

The pour produces a clear medium brown body with a small off-white head. The aroma is nutty caramel malt. Sweet and nutty, no hops. A bit thin, needs more depth and complexity.

Darker than pale yellow lager. A little more brown, per se. First taste is a little hoppy but mostly malty. Smell is a little sweet like candy, perhaps a heller hint. Good carbonation. Seems to be a tad too malty, nearly bitter on the finish.
