From old tasting notes. Clear, bright, brassy gold hue with a small bead medium white heads. Fresh malt aroma has a hint of hops. Sweet toasted malt flavor dominates the palate initially. Midtaste is sweet but hoppy. Finish becomes bittersweet and complex. Well balanced, full balanced and obviously high in alcohol strength. Long bittersweet aftertaste. Mild in comparison to most German bocks.

Bottle (Labelled Lorenzi Mai Bock Hell). Mild flowery hops and malt aroma. Medium yellow with large lasting head. Melon hops flavor with only a slight astringent taste. Mild carbonation. Pretty nice and mild bock.
