Bottle. This one is mostly on memory. This was a favorite of mine back in college. My friends said it tasted like "motor oil". From what I remember it had a burnt toast, coffee type of taste. It was dark it color and I liked it. I guess I’ve always loved dark beer.

I’m rating this on memory because I don’t really want to have to drink another one. I’m gonna second the dirty water comment below - I wouldn’t go so far as to consider it a proper dark, just crappy lager with food colouring.

Overall Impression: I have almost no recollection of this one at all, but I do have an old rating siting here, so I'll add it to RB...
Old Rating: Tastes like Michelob but a different color

Bottle (355ml - 5.2%, but bought in Taipei) Clear brown, with a bit of off-white head that doesn’t stay around. Unpleasant aroma of vegetables with some malt. Watery, lightly carbonated palate. Taste is pretty dreadful: very thin to start with a bit of malt sweetness with a nasty burnt malt finish.

This was the one of the few choices for dark lagers 15 years ago. Seem nice and strong back then but now there are many other better choices. LIght molasses malt aroma. Dark brown color. Light brown sugar malt flavor. Really not bad for a BMC product. Above average American macrobrew.

Bottled. Nut brown with brief head. Vague caramell aroma. Sweet short toffee flavour. Light bodied, smooth and without bitterness. Unfortunately one of the better beers on Taiwanese beer shelves.

When I was 19 or 20, and still mainly drinking MGD, I really liked this beer. It was my first dark beer, heh. Its not great in retrospect, but I'll give it marks for spurring me forward to dark and rich beers.
