16 ounce crowler into tulip glass, filled on 11/15/2019. Pours slightly hazy golden/orange/pinkish color with a small fairly dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Minimal lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy red raspberries, fruit skin/seeds, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, white bread, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering sourness after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering sour/tart/tangy. Medium carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy, and acidic/tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4%. Overall this is an awesome fruited Berliner weisse! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of raspberries, fruity/acidic yeast, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the moderately acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Not overly lactic. Awesome balance of super juicy/jammy raspberries and Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. Head brewer said this is the lowest pH beer he has made so far, yet it's not overpowering on the lacto at all!
