Ever had an encounter with an ethereal being along a wavelength and frequency unknown to this dimension that can only be described as an Ectogasm? Asking for a friend.
Ectogasm is a juicy, hazy, New England Style IPA that’s brewed with a heap of oats for a pillowy soft mouthfeel and an insane amount of Citra and Mosaic hops that make the tropical fruit aroma jump out of the glass!

Pours a hazy, banana-yellow, with smallish head. Aroma has some green onion and a touch of sharp cheese, but is dominated by a strong tropical nose, not unlike Juicy Fruit gum. Flavor has that Juicy Fruit gum element, too, along with some cheese and other dankness. It also has a good wallop of pine/spruce hop bitterness in the finish. Soft, full mouthfeel. Good stuff.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours opaquely hazy bright gold/green color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, honeydew melon, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, honeydew melon, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, honeydew melon, passion fruit, papaya, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, biscuit dough, light toast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is an awesome NEIPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/resinous/drying finish; great soft feel, not overly aggressive. Awesome Citra/Mosaic profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops; with a nice sized wheat/oat/malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Loved the hop profile as expected.
