16 ounce prowler into tulip glass, filled on 9/28/2019. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big milk/white chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, honey, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of caramel, toffee, peach, plum, pear, red apple, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bready malts, coffee, light-moderate earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/white chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, honey, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with light notes of caramel, toffee, peach, plum, pear, red apple, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, and roast/charred coffee bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/white chocolate, cocoa, nutty dark roasted coffee, honey, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, caramel, toffee, fruit, smoke, charcoal, wood, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, coffee, light-moderate earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance; and no cloying, acrid, astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 5.8%. Overall this is an awesome blonde coffee stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts, coffee, light-moderate earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/charred/drying finish; great soft feel. Awesome balance of rich malts and fruity/nutty coffee complexity; with balancing earthy hops. Mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressively spot on style example as expected of the brewery.
