12 ounce can into tulip glass, no can dating. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, cherry, berries, banana, bubblegum, clove, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. A bit malty/muddy aromas. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and dark/bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, cherry, berries, banana, bubblegum, clove, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, honeydew melon, cherry, berries, banana, bubblegum, clove, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, honey, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a very good Belgian IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, fruity/spicy yeast, and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp to drink with the moderately bitter/spicy/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Labeled as an IPA, but definitely has some Belgian yeast in there. Nice Citra, Teamaker, Idaho Gem, CTZ, and Nugget profile. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops with Belgian yeast complexity; and a nice dark/bready malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.
