Tap at FFB20, shared with the crew. I only took numerical notes while having this one.

150ml from a can from JB's Brewhouse fire sale. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of chillies, pepper & alcohol. Medium body. Burning finish. Challenging just for 150ml, ditched the rest of the can. My least favourite type of beer by some way.

From a pint can pours black with a tan head. Aromas are dark chocolate and chiles. Flavors are bitter roast coffee and chili heat. Lingering spice.

Spicy. But also imperial stouty. Nice. Spice grows. But works quite well. Considering the ingredient list it's not crazy.

Pint can from Bazil's, 6/6/20. Black, large fizzy dark brown head, fair retention. Aroma of cola, roast, cherry. Nuts and soy. Taste is roast, peppers, chocolate, marzipan, vanilla, nuts, cherry. Medium bodied, lingering heat that hides the booze. Sweetness from the nuts. Decent balance. Very nice.

Can. A- Ginger, mild chilies, mild cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Szechuan chilies, ginger, cocoa, slightly spicy. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, lingering spicy finish. O- Interesting concept but I expect nothing less from Stillwater. Of all the flavors in here, I think the peanuts added a general roastiness but no flavor. There was some ginger and the Szechuan chilies are what actually impressed. It wasn't a general heat but actually tasted like Szechuan chilies. Really nice and not too hot. A unique beer that was fun to try but once is good. Well executed I would say.
