Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with solid retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Slgiht spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Good appearance. Aromas of lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red apple, honey, almonds, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of coconut, toffee, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, herbal, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Slight booze as it warms, A bit too fruity/yeasty, but not overwhelming. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/light spicy yeast, honey, almonds, bourbon barrels, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red apple, honey, almonds, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of coconut, toffee, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, herbal, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, red apple, honey, almonds, bourbon, toasted oak, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, banana, bubblegum, clove, peppercorn, herbal, grass, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light spicy yeast, honey, almonds, bourbon barrels, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/grainy, and fairly sticky/tannic mouthfeel that is great. Mild increasing warmth of 8.5%, with zero lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is a very nice flavored wheatwine. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light spicy yeast, honey, almonds, bourbon barrels, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the big ABV, with the mildly bitter/spicy/drying finish; nicely soft feel. Well balanced American wheat yeast, almonds, honey, and bourbon barrel presence; with a clean pale/wheat malt backbone, and solid earthy hops. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A very enjoyable, unique, and well made style example.
