12 oz can. Pours a dull amber with moderate head. Aromas of soft muddled fruit, melons, and doughy malts. Flavors of melons, dull dankish pine and more doughy malts. A bit thick. Nothing wrong; nice enough; just nothing special.

355ml can. Pours a hazy gold with yeast particles in suspension and a medium, foamy, long lasting, ecru head that leaves thick patches of lace. Mild fruity aroma of pale malt, pineapple, mango and peach. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, pineapple, mango, passion fruit, peach, apricot, tangerine, lemon and pine in a dry, mild bitter, herbal hop finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy and easy to drink.

The Aromas are classic pilsner with a hint of hydrocarbons. Flavors are citrusy hops, slightly sweet upfront with bitterness that comes on a little towards the end. Carbonation is good yet body is oddly soft. This Voodoo Ranger marketing tool needs to end. It has The Panache of the pathetic. A skeleton with goggles - yawn. This beer is one and done.

Best picture ever, no? Disappointing IPA, though. Not much of a NE IPA and not a proper West coast IPA. Fooled again.

A new New Belgium offering, seems to be happening fairly often, just an observation. I picked us this particular 12 oz can in Odessa at the friendly craft beer place. Actually I am using my New Belgium large snifter on this one, coincidence or irony? It pours a hazy orange-yellow in color topped a stupendous head of vivid white foam. The aroma is nicely orange and soft pine. And I drink, hmm, better than anticipated, citrus, cedar, pineapple, surprisingly hoppy and a good bitterness. Sort of a hybrid NE/West Coast style. Not overdone with the juice, there’s your irony.
