Draft at 8 Degrees Plato. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white, soapy head that lingers. Bready malt, honey and sweet malt aromas. Easy drinking on the palate, very little to no bitterness leaving it a bit sweet after a few sips. Finishes pretty sweet for a lager, but still okay. Would like more peppery hop notes, but this really isn't that though, is it?

12 ounce can into lager glass, canned on 4/18/2019. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit of fruity/yeasty aromas, but not overwhelming. Nice aromas with good balance of pale malt/grains and moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, light corn, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal fruity/yeasty notes present. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light lingering resins through the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Overall this is an excellent American pre-prohibition lager. All around great robustness and balance of pale malt/grains and moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Very clean and nicely rich pils malt/grain showcase, with great earthy noble hop/presence for the style. Mild on the adjuncts. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example.
