Can 1 pint. Pours a cloudy, opaque reddish brown with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is mainly Bourbon - perhaps with a hint of berries lurking underneath. Medium body, heavy fruit melange blending in nicely with the Bourbon. Like a stewed fruit compote spiked with booze. And the berry tartness also saves this from becoming cloying. Neat and sweet yet refreshing - in spite of the massive booze finish. 190919

16 ounce can into snifter, canned on 11/26/2018. Pours hazy nearly opaque dark ruby red/purple color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a minimal spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy boysenberries, fruit skin/seeds, raspberry, blackberry, raisin, plum, peach, pear, fig, date, apricot, red apple, currant, red grape/wine, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of boysenberries, vanilla, fruity yeast, bready malts, and bourbon barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of huge lightly tart/tangy boysenberries, fruit skin/seeds, raspberry, blackberry, raisin, plum, peach, pear, fig, date, apricot, red apple, currant, red grape/wine, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Very mild herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; yeast/oak tannin spiciness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy boysenberries, fruit skin/seeds, raspberry, blackberry, raisin, plum, peach, pear, fig, date, apricot, red apple, currant, red grape/wine, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, toffee, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, brown bread/crust, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of boysenberries, vanilla, fruity yeast, bready malts, and bourbon barrel flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness, bourbon/oak spiciness, and tart/tangy fruit balance; with zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Slightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness, bourbon/oak spiciness, and fruit tang/tartness. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and lightly slick/sticky/acidic/tangy/tannic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slightly increasing warmth of 13.8%, with zero lingering barrel booze after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruited wheatwine! All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of boysenberries, vanilla, fruity yeast, bready malts, and bourbon barrel flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV, with the mildly bitter/tart/tangy/tannic/drying finish. Perfectly balanced between nicely juicy/jammy berries, fruity English yeast, rich malts, vanilla, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example for being unique/experimental. Not overwhelming on any aspect. You'd have no idea of the ABV at all blind.

Can thanks to William. Pours a hazy purple with small pink white head. The aroma is strong vanilla bean, berry, booze. Slick body, berry, vanilla, boozy finish, good.
