Raspberries + Pink Peppercorns + Raspberries
A blast of fruitiness, this is a foudre-fermented and -aged, pink peppercorn saison topped up with an acid drop of select barrels before being packed to the brim with the ripest Somerset raspberries.
Starting as a pink peppercorn saison, Fruitbooter really comes into it’s own with the artful use of blending. Selecting a special few from our barrel library to enhance the flavour of the saison and boost it’s tartness to new heights. Then come the raspberries, as fresh and ripe as we could get them, straight from Somerset.
The acidic barrel additions and juicy raspberries make for a tart, jammy, mouthwatering beer.

Pours a clear, darker pink to red. No real head. Lookin' like a very dark rosé / light red wine. Scent is funky (herbal, more than wild yeast), with milder but present red fruits ( raspberry) . Perhaps a bit to herbal to my personal preference, but sure seems refined. Taste is very mineral. Milder red fruit aspect (raspberry ) that builds up towards the end. Refined, light sourness. Decent.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5.7%. Pink to red colour, small off-white head. Distinct aroma of raspberries, hints of lactic acid. Sour flavour with raspberries and lactic acid galore, hints of pink peppercorns. Tart finish.

Tap at BeerGeek. Murky red body. Big aroma, huge, currants and forest fruit more than outright raspberries maybe but I don't mind. Tart, fruit driven taste, slightly tart, ending in an oddly earthy, slightly peppery maybe, finish. Huh, details from true excellence as a flavored... sour? saison? Dunno.
