Raspberries + Pink Peppercorns + Raspberries
A blast of fruitiness, this is a foudre-fermented and -aged, pink peppercorn saison topped up with an acid drop of select barrels before being packed to the brim with the ripest Somerset raspberries.
Starting as a pink peppercorn saison, Fruitbooter really comes into it’s own with the artful use of blending. Selecting a special few from our barrel library to enhance the flavour of the saison and boost it’s tartness to new heights. Then come the raspberries, as fresh and ripe as we could get them, straight from Somerset.
The acidic barrel additions and juicy raspberries make for a tart, jammy, mouthwatering beer.

Bottle online from the brewery. Pours lightly hazed vibrant red with a frothy pink head. Aroma of tart red berries, raspberry jam & woody notes. Taste is crisp & sweet then dry with tart raspberries, lemon, light acidity. Medium bodied, soft frothy carb, dry tart finish. Super drinkable

Bottle at L42 - thanks to Danny. It pours crazy hazy cloudy pink with a medium pink - white head. The aroma is fresh, tart, bright, raspberry, sherbet, jam, wood and a touch of spice. The taste is crisp, dry, tart, plenty of juicy mouth-puckering raspberry, pithy, lemon, zesty, peppery, bright acidity, granny smith apple and wood with with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Bright, fresh and crazy fruity. Rather nice!

Bottle. Wine Rack, Sharrow, Sheffield. Clear, deep, dark red. Ring of pink. Nose has ripe raspberry. Raspberry jelly. Some vanilla oak. A little cobweb funk. Taste has an initial hit of jammy sweetness, turning tart and dry. Some acidity on the palate. Lively carbonation. Dry and tart, raspberry twang to finish, with the pink peppercorns making an appearance right at the end.

Bottle shared on Level 42, 14/11/2017. Many thanks to DAniel for this oen. A bright pink purple, a lasting pink froth. Aroma is nice fresh raspberry, woody notes, fruit cullee, tart. Flavoir is composed of tart raspberry, super fresh raspberry, woody fruit pips, jam. Paalte si tart and spicy, dry finish. Highish carbonation.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to DD, 14/11/17. Rich raspberry red with a decent light pink head. Nose is raspberry, grains, wood must, light spice. Taste comprises berry must, tangy raspberry, light peppery spice, grains, damp wood, light herbal tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Refreshing number but veering towards a fruit beer over a sour.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Daniel. Pours a lovely, unclear red with a frothy, pink head. Great snout, good tart berries, a little funk, raspberry. Light flavour with quenching acidity, more tart raspberry, a little seedy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Super quenching finish, lots of tart and juicy raspberry. Love it.

Bottle from beerhive. Pours clear red. Nose is full on sour raspberries, cherry joghurt. Palate is raspberry joghurt, cherry, some spicyness. This is as fruity as many of the framboise, just with a peppery edge too it. Amazing!
