Raspberries + Pink Peppercorns + Raspberries
A blast of fruitiness, this is a foudre-fermented and -aged, pink peppercorn saison topped up with an acid drop of select barrels before being packed to the brim with the ripest Somerset raspberries.
Starting as a pink peppercorn saison, Fruitbooter really comes into it’s own with the artful use of blending. Selecting a special few from our barrel library to enhance the flavour of the saison and boost it’s tartness to new heights. Then come the raspberries, as fresh and ripe as we could get them, straight from Somerset.
The acidic barrel additions and juicy raspberries make for a tart, jammy, mouthwatering beer.

Nice fizzy-creamy mediumlasting head, slightly cloudy light reddish color. Aroma is slightly dry sour-ish fruity, oak, berry skin, fruit stones, grass, sour red berries, hay, minerals, bark, sorrel, hints of popcorn. Taste is dry sour-ish fruity, sorrel, oak, berry skin, minerals, mild vinegar, sour red berries, grass, alcohol, hay, soda powder. Medium bitterness, slightly dry sour-ish fruity mouthfeel. Nice.

Bottle, 330 ml, from Že v redu Primož. Shared with JFK10000 and Max. Pours red with large short lasting pink head. Cherries, funk, citrus, raspberries, nice medium+ sourness. Medium bodied.

0.33l bottle from qoqa.ch. gusher; pours a hazy crimson with a rapidly diminishing head. aroma of red wine, raspberries, and funk. flavour of wild berries, redcurrant, lactic sourness, funk, candy. not so much peppercorns, which is probably for the better. fizzy carbonation.

The Mermaid. Keg. Hazy pink - peach beer, small pink head. Light and fairly crisp palate. Light creamy sweetness from the malts. A fairly tart generic fruit with a sprinkle of cherry candy on top. Tart finish. Not bad but like so many Wild Beer beers, it never gets in top gear.

330ml bottle. Reddish pink colour with a short-lived pinkish foam head and aroma of raspberry sour. Taste is mouth puckering sourness, lemon rind, with fruity raspberries, some grain, and hint of pepper. Slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tart finish. Very dinkable.
