24 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. 0170 1459 can code. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense/creamy head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit too fruity corn aromas, but not overwhelming. Okay aromas with pale malt/corn and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, woody, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, corn, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice robustness and balance of pale malt/corn and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Nicely clean lager flavors; not overly fruity/yeasty. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and spicy alcohol. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky mouthfeel that is good. A tad rough, but smooth to sip on. Mild increasing warmth of 10.6%, with minimal lingering booze after the finish. Overall this is a solid high gravity malt liquor. All around good robustness and balance of pale malt/corn and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to sip on slowly with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Nicely clean/rich pils malt/grain showcase, with nice earthy hop presence/balance for the style. Not overwhelming on adjuncts. Not quite the jet fuel I expected, it is quite drinkable. A fairly enjoyable offering for what it was.

16oz can poured into a shaker. Been saving this one for a minute, rating 2500 here we go! Pours a clear, orangish gold with minimal head. Aroma is sweet, corn and cotton candy. Taste is clearly ice brewed for an extra smoove taste. Green apple, cotton candy and followed up by grains. WTF, I’ve never tasted this much green apple in anything. Even green apple jolly ranchers don’t have this much green apple. Full bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. It may be high boost, but I sure can’t taste it. Well, not the worst malt likka I’ve tried!

24oz can pours crystal clear gold with a thirty second white head of loosely adhered bubbles. The aroma offers up the typical cast of characters with slick sugary malts, apple juice esters, a hint of maybe 1 hop cone per 50 barrels and then a mild chemical booze note at the end of the draw. Hmm… I’m almost getting a berry like smell too. The taste begins smooth and basically inoffensive as a faint hit of vague hops rolls quickly into sugary sticky apple juice as well as a background of chemical booze. Once you reach the after taste there are more sweet and apple estery notes there waiting for you.

24 ounce from a liquor store in Wyoming. I wish there were 30 ounces. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. A sweet and skunky nose. Rich, smooth, loads of rice, corn, light metal. Basic. Very easy to consume, with little to enjoy besides the effect. Actually enjoyable.

Big scary clear bottle with a label that has exxes all over it. But I guess even the finest black imperial stouts have that too, and that is in common with the qualities of high alky and unpalatability. Pale ubiquitous american lager color. Smells somewhat like the cheapest wines. 40 ounces of cheap clear buzz. Taste is rather rude and obnoxious. Has a goodly amount of carbonation but the awkward forward flavor steps all over, in front of it and overrides the experience. Finish? Heheheheh, poppycock! Yowzer Bowzer. Perfect example of the style we in america have come to know as the cheap malt liquor. Isn’t it odd that these characteristics are so common throughout the Melanie line of cheap lagers? Ignoramous maximus.
