12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 9/10/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a 1 finger dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. A bit malty/muddy aromas. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, red apple, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a delicious session IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Great Azzaca, El Dorado, and Citra profile. Very vibrant, and fairly juicy/dank/earthy hop complexity; with a nice solid pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressively well made style example.
