16 ounce can into tulip glass, 2018 vintage. Pours crystal clear deep orange/copper with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour cherry, cranberry, raspberry, strawberry, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, brown sugar, and toasted bread; with light notes of oaken vanilla, peppercorn, leathery/musty funk, red wine vinegar, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness, wine tang; and light yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour cherry, berries, lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus zest, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red/green apple, red grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, brown sugar, toasted bread, pepper, light vanilla/funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness, and tangy wine balance; with minimal puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tartness, wine tang, and yeast spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/acidic, and fairly tangy/tannic balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7%. Overall this is a fantastic Flanders red ale. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/acidic yeast, oak barrels, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth easy to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Amazing Brett/Bacteria complexity and oak barrel presence; with a great dark/bready malt backbone against acidity. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazingly spot on style example.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours a clear amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of sour red fruits with some cherry and a decent amount of acid. Flavor is full of sour red fruits with a touch of oak underlying.
