16 ounce prowler into tulip glass, filled on 10/27/2018. Pours very hazy golden orange/amber color with a small dense off white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing on the glass, with light streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy mangoes, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, mangoes, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big juicy mangoes, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of mangoes, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, mangoes, and bready malt flavors; with a solid malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Light carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and lightly sticky/tangy/acidic mouthfeel that is fantastic. Mildly increasing warmth of 9.2% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic fruit NEIPA. All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, mangoes, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to drink for the ABV, with the mildy bitter/drying finish. Awesome soft feel, not aggressive. Amazing hop profile as expected. Extremely juicy hops/fruit with light dankness; great wheat/oat/malt balance, not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. The low carbonation probably helped make it feel smoother/softer vs the base beer. Would easily revisit with proper carbonation.
