Lil’ Creepster is an amber colored German-style Gose brewed with a lil’ bit of apricot, orange peel, coriander, and lemon grass. Sweet and acidic fruit aromatics lead into bright flavors of apricot and nectarine with a strong tanginess and citrus-like sourness. With a light pleasant saltiness throughout, from the addition of Himalayan sea salt, the finish is clean with a tart lingering dryness.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/26/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, red/green apple, white wine, citrus peel/zest, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, spice, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, red/green apple, white wine, citrus peel/zest, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang; and light coriander spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, apricot, peach, pear, pineapple, melon, red/green apple, white wine, citrus peel/zest, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread, light pepper/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, spice, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness, tangy fruit, and spice balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness, tangy fruit, spiciness, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 6.6%. Overall this is an excellent Gose! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, fruit, spice, salt, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish. Not overly lactic or salty. Great balance of juicy fruits, Lacto, spices, and pale/wheat malts against against acidity. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example as expected.
