Pour is a pretty clear gold for a hazy pale with a large white head. Aroma is papaya and honey. Flavor is some tropical fruit with a dry chalky malt and more honey finishes things off. Decent but not great. Kind of a thin mouthfeel with a light body.

Sample at Daily Growler Powell during the 5 Year Anniversary Celebration w/ Food Trucks + Expanded Patio event on 07/26/2019. Hazy yellow-gold color with a medium thick white head that evaporates steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of wheat, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of wheat, floral hop, fruit and malt. The finish is wheaty with a mild hoppy aftertaste. Above average overall.

16 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 6/28/2018. Pours very hazy golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Slight resins near the end of the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is an awesome hoppy American pale wheat ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Probably Columbus, Centennial, and Amarillo. Awesome juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice pale/wheat malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example. Amazing summer beer.
