Draft: Charred oak, pine, grapefruit aroma. Black, thin tan head, good lace. Grapefruit, charred oak, mulberry . Medium body, easy carbonation. Appropriate hop bill for the style. Unlike so many other breweries, these guys get the style.

Bomber from Tavour. Nose is chocolate, pine, nuts, grapefruit, and a hint of roastiness. Black with a big heavy lacing cinnamon tan head. Flavor is moderately bitter with very light contrasting sweetness against a dark chocolate malt base like eating an 80% cacao dark chocolate bar. Blackest black IPA I’ve had.

$8.99 bomber (#0618/3000 Ghost 481), Wine Warehouse. Pours thick and black with a large dark brown head. By the look of this beast I would assume this is an imperial stout. The head lingers and slowly recedes leaving a soft foamy puff of cloud on the top of this brew. Amazing hop aroma: major grapefruit, a goof whiff of pine, and roasted coffee. Flavor is equally intriguing: pine on top of citrus peel, grapefruit juice, roasted coffee beans, and chocolate malts. Outstanding.
