New England style Session IPA exuding notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Hazy in appearance and brewed with lactose for added body and a pillowy mouthfeel. Dry hopped with Amarillo, Calypso, El Dorado, and Denali hops for a pleasantly enthralling aroma

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/21/2018. Pours opaquely hazy golden amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, mint, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, mint, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, red apple, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, mint, pepper, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly crisp/sticky, and slightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.7%. Overall this is a delicious session NEIPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nice soft feel for the style. Very juicy, dank, and vibrant hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness. It's more stone/pome fruity than tropical with the unique hop bill, but still delicious. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
