Tilted Earth is our Rotating IPA Series, an ode to the changing seasons with an IPA that changes every three months. New season, new beer!

Our Spring 2018 release is a crisp, light-bodied IPA, an ideal complement to a spring day. Brewed with rye and Halcyon malts and then heavily dry hopped with a blend of American and Southern Hemisphere hops; Chinook, Azacca, Australian Galaxy, and Australian Vic Secret. It sports a fruity hop profile with hints of passion fruit, berries and grapes on top of a clean malt bill that lets the hops shine through.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/23/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, pine, toasted bread, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterhess balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an excellent IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Really great balance between juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; with a solid pale malt backbone, and minimal residual sweetness. A very enjoyable offering, loved the Aussie hop profile as expected.
