Meditation is combination of untamed wild yeasts living in Mikulov´s wine terroir and beauty of old oak barrels.
Unique beer made as a blend. It consists of two years old wild beer and part of young beer. Due to this combination was found the proper harmony. Meditation is refreshing beer with subtle sour flavor and mild wineyness. The old part maturated in wooden Bordeaux barrels brings spiciness and hint of wood. The younger part adds softness and help to balance completely dry body of the beer.

At Wild Festival Groningen, 10cl. Color: Slightly hazy golden, white head. Aroma: Fruity berries, hoppy, malt, Lambic. Taste: Sweet and sour berries, white grape, Lambic on the sweet side. Over moderate sweet, moderate sour, wood, dry-ish mouthfeel. Hints of Saison yeast. Pretty much carbonation.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, cherry, berry, green apple, melon, white wine, hay, straw, grass, oak, pepper, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of honey, caramel, oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, bready malts, and wine barrel notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, cherry, berry, green apple, melon, white wine, hay, straw, grass, oak, pepper, wheat, cracker, and white bread dough; with lighter notes of honey, caramel, oaken vanilla, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tartness and yeast/wine tannin spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, cherry, berry, green apple, melon, white wine, hay, straw, grass, oak, pepper, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, vanilla, light funk/vinegar, and yeast/oak earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, bready malts, and wine barrel flavors; with an awesome malt/tartness and yeast/oak spiciness balance; with zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tart/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy/tannic, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.8%. Overall this is an awesome wild ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/funky/spicy/acidic yeast, bready malts, and wine barrel flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/tannic/drying finish, not overly lactic. Really impressive well rounded Brett/Lacto complexity; great malt balance and wine barrel presence. Kind of Gueuze-like as it is a blend of young and old beer. A really enjoyable and well made offering.
