16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 9/26/2017. Pours slightly hazy deep orange/amber with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, red apple, berry, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, pears, dark/bready malt, and light-moderate fruity/earthy yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, red apple, berry, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/herbal/grassy bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, mango, melon, red apple, berry, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted biscuit, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish fore a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, pears, dark/bready malt, and light-moderate fruity/earthy yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is a delicious Belgian IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/tropical hops, pears, dark/bready malt, and light-moderate fruity/earthy yeast flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very juicy and lightly dank hops; with great balance of the pear concentrate and malts. Not as yeasty as I expected, but solid presence. More of a Midwest IPA on the malt presence; but adequately bitter, hoppy, and drying. A very unique and enjoyable offering.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a near clear light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a sweet pear note with some bitter grass and a hint of light grains backing. Flavor is similar with pear throughout supported by notes of grass and light grain.
