Location: Tried this from a mini can (or a few mini cans) in Aruba, 9/16/14
Aroma: The nose of this beer is pretty light with some grassy hops and sweet malt notes
Appearance: The pour is a clear golden color with a somewhat fizzy head on it
Flavor: The taste is much the same as the nose, sweet malts and a bit of light grassy hop bitterness
Palate: The body of this one is light and a little watery, but not as watery as some in the style
Overall Impression: As far as mediocre generic lagers go, I thought this one was pretty decent. I don't mean that as to say this is a good beer, just to say this it is better than some of the many terrible examples of this style out there.

12 ounce bottle courtesy of Hugo Chavez (kidding!) at the DC Summer Saison & Sour Tasting, 7/12/14. Pours a clear golden with a thin white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of corn, cardboard, cereal grain, clue. The taste is sweet cereal grains, corn, mild hops. Not terrible, might be solid when fresh at the source.

Had a couple of these flown in from Miami courtesy of my favorite cuaima. Thanks Maigua! Enjoyed on the ghetto roof of my patio. Not as bad as some and not as good as many. Bottle.

222ml Bottle bought in Willemstad, Curacao and drank at home on 25th June 2014. Poured into a ’La Chouffe’ glass. Very pale golden body with a weak and thin white wispy head. Malts rule the nose and taste, light and grainy though. Nasty metallic feel to the whole beer: ice cold and on a boiling hot day it might be OK, but on a UK evening it doesn’t impress. Not a good beer, even by South American/Caribbean standards and although I get a Venezuela tick it will not be remembered for the right reasons.

Pours a standard clear golden color, topped with a average white head of quick retention. The aroma is gentle; some malts and grains are present. The taste starts sweet and grainy, followed by a nicely balanced body, finishing with a sting of bitterness. Pleasant finish, must say. Otherwise nothing special. Drinkable and refreshing.
