Got in a BIF from jdell15. 12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours lightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness, yeast spiciness, and slight wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, orange peel, coriander, pear, apple, peppercorn, clove, light banana, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Medium-high carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/clean balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5%. Overall this is very good witbier. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, spices, and moderate pale malt flavors; very smootjh, crisp, and refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Very flavorful for the low ABV, perfectly balanced between all flavors. Not as creamy on the wheat body as I hoped for, but definitely adequate. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
