Sampled from the tap at the Detroit location. Pours a clear gold with a copper hue and a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has citrus and light rind with a bit of sweet grains underlying. Flavor has light citrus and orange with a bit of grass in the finish.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/16/2017. Pours crystal clear medium orange/amber color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus peel/grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pine, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing though the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balance mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a delicious IPA. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly bitter/dryness finish. Great juicy hop vibrancy and nice malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A really enjoyable offering, and very classic tasting IPA.
