bottle. pours like any other pale lager. yes, slight pilsner hop aroma. a little sharp for a pilsner, i've tasted ales that act like this. difficult fbetter medicinal. was hoping for a friendlier brew fer sher. long bitter astringent pilsner bitter bite sharp finish. Probably not even as good as tregs sunshine or ottos pilsener or lakefront n-g er bj's pooks nor gordon bierish, n ithaca pils or even 0-b mamas little yeller pils. is it getting better as the session continues? probably not. probably should not be in a pilsner style? wtfdik

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before 5/7/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of lemon, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. A bit fruity/yeasty in the aromas, but not overwhelming. Taste of big lemon, cracker, biscuit dough, light honey, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, cracker, biscuit dough, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation, increasing through the glass. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal yeast notes present. Medium-high carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a delicious German pilsner style. All around great robustness and balance of pale malt and earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering, and pristine style example.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear yellow color with a thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and malt. Light, clean body with a spiced hops character and notes of sweet malt and grain. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short bitter aftertaste. Above average overall.
