Brewed with fresh lavender flowers and wildflower honey, this light bodied ale is fresh and floral with a hint of sugary sweetness to round it out. Pollination is the perfect way to welcome spring.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/14/2017. Pours lightly hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bready malt, honey, and lavender notes; with great strength. Taste of big honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, lavender, mint, berry, orange, apple, cinnamon, pepper, clove, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, honey, and lavender flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from bitter/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is a great spiced amber ale! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malt, honey, and lavender flavors; very smooth and easy to drink. Nice lavender spice presence, without being overwhelming; nice rich malt/honey flavors, without being overly sweet. A very enjoyable offering.
