Our Festbier is inspired by the Oktoberfest beers of Germany. It is brewed with imported specialty malts to create a medium bodied, malty, amber lager with a smooth finish.

Caramel color with a large foamy head that left great lacing. Sweet with strong perfume. Long finish. Medium body.

Hey, I was pretty sure I did this already! WTF? Drank right out of the bottle, I assume is pale and clear. Pretty good sizzle on the uptake. Seems to be friendly up front. Yes, not bad, and not really in yer face like so many festy brews. Seems like it may be around 4%? Just asking. Yes, fairly smooth marzen clear to the end, pleasantly surprised thank you.

12 ounce bottle into dimpled mug, bottled on 8/30/2016. Pours lightly hazy deep orange/copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Slight spotty lacing clings on the glass. Good appearance. Aromas of brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, caramel, toffee, herbal, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of bready malt and light earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Some yeast fruitiness as well, but not overwhelming. Flavors of brown sugar, brown bread, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of nuttiness, caramel, toffee, herbal, grass, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, herbal, light pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness for a short bit. Nice balance and solid robustness of bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and fairly grainy/bready mouthfeel that is good. A bit too thin and not creamy enough. Fairly clean on lager flavors; with some light yeasty fruitiness present in aromas and flavors. Overall this is a pretty good Oktoberfest style. All around good balance and solid robustness of bready malt and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. Not as clean or robustly malty as I hoped; but the flavors were still good for the style expectations. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 09/09/2011. The beer is a clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malt and mild hops. Light to medium body with a sweet malt and caramel flavor balanced by a light hoppy note. The finish is malty with a butterscotch/caramel aftertaste. Decent overall.
