A kettle-soured brown ale finished with local peaches which contribute a fruity nose and hint of sweetness.

bottle - Reddish-brown pour with a very small head. The aroma is tart and fruity. The flavor is of malt, tart fruit including peaches and berries, and some funkiness. This is a solid sour.

22oz bomber. Didn’t have high expectations for this one after the first Mischievous. Thankfully exceeded them. The peach and sour brown ale is quite nice, the peach adding a new dimension of sour sweetness, really complementing it well. A little thin maybe, but also not unlike a Rodenbach, which works for me. Hard to rate this very high still, as it still comes across quite unrefined...some of that nail-polish undesirable stuff. Definitely not a high end sour. Probably would be a hit in six packs.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/28/2016. Pours fairly crystal clear deep ruby red/light copper/brown color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy light khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, melon, green apple, red grape, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, light nuttiness, hay, grass, light funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy peaches, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, melon, green apple, red grape, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, light nuttiness, hay, grass, light funk, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness and yeast spiciness balance; with lingering notes of tart peach, apricot, pineapple, pear, melon, green apple, red grape, pepper, oak, caramel, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, hay, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy peaches, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/tart/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light dryness from tart/spiciness, lightly increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy/acidic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.5%. Overall this is a very nice kettle soured fruited brown ale. All around nice robustness, and balance of juicy peaches, fruity/spicy yeast, and moderate dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the balanced acidity. Very juicy and fresh on the peach flavors, with nice balanced yeast and malt complexity. A very enjoyable offering.
