Pours clear gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to hug rim. Dirty pit fruit and sweet caramel aromas. Thin with sour caramel, overripe fruit and pine upfront turning to dry earth and pith in the medium length finish.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours orange/amber/gold with a near white head. Aroma has a hint of dank, some citrus/pine, arguably some pale stone fruit. Med + body. Flavor is caramel, and citrus/pine when the caramel passes. It’s fruity and juicy - pretty dry tho. Mild to moderate bitterness. Quite pleasant, but it seems a bit mundane for Clown Shoes. Guess it was flavor rather than explosive impact that was the goal. Good flavor.

Poured from bottle dated 8/31/16 copper orange with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus caramel malt and pine. Taste is caramel citrus bread and lingering pine bitterness.
