Sample during the It Would Brighton MI Birthday If Yoopers Could Lake It To This Tasting! event on 09/18/2020. Slightly hazy yellow- gold color with a thin white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of raspberry, malt and wheat. Medium body with flavors of berries, wheat and bready malt. The finish is fruity and creamy with a short raspberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can thanks to Rob. Pours a hazy orange gold with small frothy white head. The aroma is raspbery, tangerine, cream wheat. Slick body, raspberry cough syrup, dry finish, not much going on with this one.

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy golden color with a slim cap of a little white head. No lace.
The aroma had some sweet corn to cake-like qualities flowing into some sweet raspberry tones.
The flavor was basically the same with a light tartness coming out ever so lightly. Wafer-like/animal cracker-like sweet aftertaste rolling into the finish fairly nice.
The feel was just a tad under medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Tartness wasn’t distracting. Felt fairly smooth from the sweet cracker.
Overall, neat way of reinventing a style that isn’t entirely loved. I’d probably do this one again. Thanks Mike.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/21/2016. Pours fairly clear golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of sweet raspberry, vanilla, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and slight herbal/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance of raspberry, bready malt, and slight hop notes; with good strength. Taste of sweet raspberry, vanilla, cracker, biscuit, light honey, and light herbal/grassy earthiness. Slight herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of raspberry, vanilla, cracker, biscuit, and light honey on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice robustness, and balance of raspberry, bready malt, and slight hop flavors; with nice malt/bitterness balance, and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and creamy mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a great imperial fruited cream ale style. All around great robustness, and balance of raspberry, bready malt, and slight hop flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink for the ABV. Tastes just like a raspberry ice cream cone as advertised. A very enjoyable offering.
