In Louisiana, we like spice in our food, our lives and our beer, too. With hints of celery, paprika, lemon peel, bay leaves and a pinch of cayenne, this ale has the savory quality of a crawfish boil. We hopped it with Cascadesfor a citrus flavor. Refreshing, crisp and slightly sweet with enough kick to keep the party going.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white head. Aroma of celery, bay, citrus, chili. Med body or so. Flavor is bready with bay, citrus, light chili. Actually surprisingly ok. Wish I had some gumbo to go with it.

On tap at Ole Saint. Pours a hazy yellow gold with medium creamy white head. The aroma is wheat, citrus, pepper. Medium mouth, pepper, spiced apple, wheat, light finish, decent.

Draft/Fest. A- Celery, bay leaf, chicken noodle soup, black pepper, citrus. A- Yellow color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Celery, chicken noodle soup. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- Tried this as a joke only after seeing the odd ingredients list. Needless to say it came as a surprise when I actually really enjoyed it. Tasted almost like chicken noodle soup. This could be really good to cook with.
