Brewed with a bounty of Columbus and Simcoe hops for a hop complexity of bright citrus and herbal piney flavors. Our intention with Little George is to showcase the wonderful hop characteristics of those varieties within a smooth, clean malt body while maintaining an appropriate balance between the hop’s bitterness and the higher level of alcohol.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass; 2015 vintage, bottled in late 2015. Pours fairly crystal clear golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, wood, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, wood, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, melon, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, honey, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness that lightly increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky/resinous, and fairly creamy/grainy/bready balanced mouthfeel that is awesome. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding DIPA! All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
