22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/23/2015. Pours pitch black color with a 2 finger fairly dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, raisin, prune, fig, peppercorn, clove, light banana, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of roast/bready malt, coffee, and fruity/spicy yeast notes; with good strength. Taste of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, raisin, prune, fig, peppercorn, clove, light banana, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and yeast/roasted earthiness. Good amount of roasted bitterness and peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, raisin, prune, fig, peppercorn, clove, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and yeast/roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance roast/bready malt, coffee, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a nice malt/bitter/spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Good amount of dryness from carbonation and bitter/spiciness as well. High carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, crisp, moderately prickly, lightly creamy/bready, and sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Belgian coffee stout. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance roast/bready malt, coffee, and fruity/spicy yeast flavors; and very smooth, crisp, and easy to drink. A very unique, but well done remix of CEO stout. The flavors retain all of the base stout character with balanced yeast; but the mouthfeel changes to feel more like a Belgian style with the carbonation and dryness. A very enjoyable offering.
