"A cookie in every bottle.”
Shipyard GingerBreadHead Ale is like a spicy, rich, gingerbread cookie you can drink. The warm flavors of molasses and brown sugar are accented with ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

Perhaps one of the better beers I had at mex tonight. A darker brew but not real dark. Taste is ginger fer sure. Can’t smell much ginger in there tho. Decent co2. Some beer flavore=s in the backgroung but the ginger continues to shine thru. Especially on the finish. Not bad overall.

12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Lake Manassas, opened 11/11/14. Pours a clear dark copper with a thin fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of ginger, molasses, bread, spice. The taste is ginger, toasted malt. Bitter finish. Thin-medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Pours deep autumnal amber into a shaker. Tan head with little retention recedes to mottle surface. Sweet maple syrup and ginger aromas. Dry with nutmeg and ginger upfront turning to sour maple in the lasting finish.
