In a mixing bowl - there is spicy, citrus, sweet, pine, resin, grass and yes we are still talking about a beer and a fine one at that.

Strong Hops and Citrus scents blend with the Sweet malts to make the most tantalizing Aromas fill the air as soon as the top is cracked. The first second of strong hops causes a quick sensation in one’s heart, hoping against all that this doesn’t turn out to be a bad decision but wait for that second to pass.

Beyond that, you will experience an enjoyable medium hop flavor and robust malt. It’s a fantastic IPA with a medium body, smooth texture and excellent balance.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark amber color, clean. Aroma of caramel, candies, orange peel. Good body strength, malt and caramel flavor with some toffee; strong bitterness, oily hops, bitter orange peel over all, resiny qualities.
Caramelly brew, not too sweet, not sticky, well constructed. Excellent.

Fatbira på Bryggarhunden Götet. Doftar härligt svagt av vindruvsjos å lite hav. Medelfyllig i munnen . Torkade frukter med viss fin syra. Ja jävlar sitter bra med den där lätta syran?!. Medelfyllig lagom balanserad beska med liiiite metall inslag efteråt i munnen. Ja liiite kaffe kommer faktiskt

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a fairly dark red with a small beige head. Aroma is intense with a robust mix of resinous hops and caramel malt. Flavour is much the same, with lovely resinous hops dominating that have a rather wood quality, and is backed by bready caramel malt. Really impeccable balance while remaining robust. Excellent.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/12/2015. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy deep ruby red/copper color with a 2 finger dense and rocky khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass. Awesome appearance. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light roast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light roast, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/citrus rind/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, apricot, mango, lemon/orange peel, citrus rind, pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, light roast, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness that increases through the glass. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent red DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy citrus/tropical/piney hops and moderate dark/bready malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Pours garnet mahogany into a tulip.. White soapy head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Dark caramel and mild scallion aromas. Medium bodied with caramel and toffee upfront turning to hot resin and mild scallion and garlic in the medium length finish.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige/tan head. Aroma of pine and roasty malt. Maybe spice rather than pine. Near full bodied. Flavor is roasty malt forward, but there’s some spicy/piney hop in significant quantity. It’s not really dry, but it is bitter. Nearly enough hop to keep the malt under control - not quite tho. Good tasty stuff with substantial flavor.
