Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a honey gold color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was tangy and boozy with golden fruit. The flavor was tangy and very boozy with golden fruit, tropical fruit and sugar. Long finish. Full bodied. Booziness overwhelms. Solid

500 ml bottle into chalice, bottled on 3/5/2015. Pours slightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, light banana, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, light banana, honey, candi sugar, biscuit, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of pepper/clove yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, pepper, clove, honey, biscuit, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast spiciness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Fair amount of dryness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and slightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is an awesome tripel! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to sip on for the huge ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

4 oz draft at Normal, IL location. Poured a light brown color, a bit dark copper in there. Aroma was citrus notes, sweet, slighty nutty malts. Flavor was sweet malts, spices (touch ginger, banana, cloves), slight, but mellow hop character. A few characteristics that reminded me of bubble gum. Overall a highly drinkable brew, especially since the alcohol is almost entirely masked at +8%.
