On tap at Old Dog Tavern
Pours clear amber with a red tint, small off-white head, light lacing. Aroma of dark berries. Flavor of berries, sweet malts with a bitter finish
Ok, more of a fruit beer then ipa.

12 oz. can. Pours dark, clear, ruby color, with a small, off-white head. Bright blackberry pie aroma, with some cream, juniper, and butterscotch. Sweet and fruity, with a mild bitterness in the finish. Light to medium body, with a creamy and smooth mouthfeel. This is a nicely done, fruit IPA. Well balanced, and the fruit and hops play well together.

This beer pours a clear dark amber color with a thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Citrusy hops, berry and malt aroma. Light body with flavors of semi-tart blackberry, hops and caramel malt. The finish is mildly bitter and fruity with a blackberry aftertaste. Decent overall.

can - Pours clear amber and smells mainly of blackberries. The flavor is sweet blackberries, malt, and a little bit of hops presence. As others have noted, this beer doesn’t seem to be an IPA. If they used a substantial amount of hops, it’s completely buried by the large amount of blackberries. That’s not to say it’s a bad beer. It’s actually a pretty good fruit beer. Why is it sold as an IPA though?

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours fairly crystal clear reddish orange color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light pink head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lightly tart blackberry, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of juicy blackberries, citrus/pine hops, and moderate malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big lightly tart blackberry, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, light caramel, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate amount of pine/citrus rind bitterness and slight fruit tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of blackberry, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange peel, pine, honey, toasted bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy blackberries, citrus/pine hops, and moderate malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately sticky, and lightly creamy/syrupy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is an excellent fruited IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of juicy blackberries, citrus/pine hops, and moderate malt flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A very enjoyable offering.
