Say Aloha to Treasure Chest 2015, an exotic pink IPA brewed with grapefruit, prickly pear juice and hibiscus flowers. Erupting with fruit-forward complexity, 100% Mosaic hops present aromas of heady citrus and refined stone fruit. The pleasantly bitter flavors of the hops are enhanced by the addition of fresh grapefruit juice. Offering balance to offset the bold citrus notes, prickly pear juice imparts a peppery-sweet kick in the finish. Tropical Hibiscus flowers give this beer a naturally pink hue, a nod to the official color of the Treasure Chest mission.

22 oz bottle poured into a Bruery tulip. Very slightly hazy golden orange with close to two fingers of nice off-white head. Don’t see the pink hue to it like the deScription states. Aromas of grapefruit citrus, floral notes, light flowery aroma, some juicy pears towards the end. Tastes of tropical fruit, a little pear, floral notes, subtle pine, grapefruit pulp and juice, a little flowery note. Medium body with a dry finish. Juicy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Peary delicious tropical fruity IPA.

Bomber from Beer Run. Hazy amber, large foamy nearly white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit with some cactus in the finish. The taste is grapefruit, orange, hibiscus, vanilla, mild pine and prickly pear. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mild lingering bitterness, juicy.

Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent, nearly hazy gold against strong light. Pink? Really? Aroma of citrus and flowers. Sort of a fresh pink grapefruit aspect. :) Med body, barely. Flavor is grapefruit, seemingly of the red type at least in part, and that weird flower perfume thing that seems to be hibiscus. Never eaten enough to recognize it - just going on association with other beers. It’s a bit sweet, a little astringent. Actually a lot grapefruit rind as time moves on. A really tasty, nearly exquisite ale.

Draught @ Cellar 3. Aroma has peaches and some fruit candy. Flavour has sweet fruit candy, biscuity malt, some grapefruit and mild grassy tones. Sweet, yet balanced and relatively easy to drink.
