Draft. From notes. Loads of wheat, banana, and citrus dominate. Some nice baking spices in the finish. Interesting and very drinkable.

bottle - This brew smells of spices, caramel, wheat, and citrus. It has a sweet flavor with spices and a fruity character supported by a heavier malt body than most wheat ales with more robust flavors. There’s some alcohol noticeable. The flavors blend together well and it’s a good, interesting beer.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 12/21/2014. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with good retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, pear, pepper, coriander, clove, wheat, toasted biscuit, herbal, grass, light nuttiness, and herbal/spice earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malt and earthy spice notes; with solid strength. Taste of orange zest, pear, coriander, pepper, clove, wheat, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, and herbal/spice earthiness. Minimal herbal/spice bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of orange zest, pear, wheat, toasted biscuit, coriander, pepper, clove, light nuttiness, and herbal/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and complexity of bready malt and earthy spice flavors; with a great malt/spice balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and lightly creamy/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good spiced wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of bready malt and earthy spice flavors; and very smooth to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
